Summary:
This research project, evaluated the effectiveness of two non-obtrusive relapse prevention strategies to help Navy women recruits maintain the non-smoking status achieved during their 8 weeks of recruit training. The study implemented two strategies: an 800-helpline with counselor-initiated call-back and a mailed-materials intervention.
